Atheists, Why Do You Bring Up How Many Christians Have Not Read The Bible?
Please note I mean no offense by this question. I am only trying to see why many people keep on bringing this up so I can understand where you are coming from.It is true that most Christians probably haven’t read EVERY SINGLE verse in the Bible, but the Bible is a large book and the important thing is we know what is in it. We know the stories. We know the message.It’s the MESSAGE and not the content, per se, that’s the most important. Does it really matter what Noah’s favorite color was, etc.?We know our religion works for us and we know how God wants us to act.I have personally read about 80 percent of the Bible myself (I started last summer) and I plan on finishing it before the end of the year. So, is it fair to bring up how most Christians haven’t read the Bible ALL the way through when you probably haven’t read science books all the way through, etc.? I wouldn’t say this means you don’t understand science.I doubt most people on here haven’t read EVERY SINGLE line in a 750 page college level Biology book.Edit: Please be respectful. There is no need for that.
Well said Naomi..I totally agree with you..I would go as far as saying most non believers don’t know a thing about science yet they claim to believe its theories just on faith alone..

I think it’s true on both sides; lots of Christians also claim that Atheists need to “see the light” and read the Bible even though they neglect to acknowledge the fact that the majority of atheists were raised in a household where religion was pressed on them as a child.

Because we haven’t read the bible and we don’t believe in god. if someone started throwing bible quotes at us we’d just shrug and put a point up on our side of the scoreboard for intelligence.
Look for the obvious contradictions in it next time. A decent biology book is edited many time before it’s sold
Well, I can’t speak for all atheists, but here is why I bring it up: it is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD THAT PEOPLE LIVE THEIR LIVES ACCORDING TO RULES IN A 2000 YEAR OLD BOOK THAT THEY HAVEN’T EVEN READ.
Is that so difficult to understand?
