A Question For Evolutionists At Large…?
Ok, so I’ve been reading about evolution in my biology book, and i just have one question: why do you guys believe this stuff? It sounds really weird to me. Please don’t post stuff like “You just don’t believe it, because you don’t want to,” and all that. I’m a Christian, but if what I believe is wrong, I definitely want to know about it. So just tell me your opinions: scientifically, why do you believe in evolution?
That’s funny, I started out a creationist but when I had a good biology teacher in ninth grade who explained it well, I saw how much sense it made. When I got to college I learned about the evidence in more detail and it made even more sense. Everything they’ve found, all the new lines of evidence that Darwin couldn’t have known about, fits into the theory perfectly. Some churches start indoctrinating kids to reject evolution when they’re still in diapers. Did that happen to you?
Well if you have bothered to read your biology book, you wouldn’t have asked that.
fossils, DNA similarities, mutations, genes, adaption, anatomical similarities, hello ? and Vaccination is a microevolution itself.
I dont..
Cause it is measurable , it may not be complete but its a step to a better knowledge .
Because it has plenty of research done into it which comes out with suitable evidence. It also has plenty of face validity; it makes logical sense that species have altered over millions of years in order to adapt to our successive environments.
Science does not require belief. Whether or not it sounds weird to you is irrelevant – there is lots of weird stuff out there which is real. For instance, magnetism. Or quantum physics. Or even gravity.
Evolution is basically fact. If you don’t accept it because it sounds “weird”, then drop all of science because most, if not all, of science sounds “weird”.
